About Blue Lightning
The Blue Lightning Track Club was founded in 2013 by Head Coach Steve Strother, 4-time NCAA All-American, All-SEC Sprinter and Champion, New Rochelle, N.Y. Sports Hall of Famer, and Vertimax Certified speed trainer. Coach Strother was coached by 2-time U.S. Olympic Team Head Coach, Mel Rosen at Auburn University.
The Blue Lightning Track Club is a coed youth track club serving ages 7-18 in Henry County, Rockdale, Newton, and surrounding counties. We compete under AAU and USATF youth associations, for the Winter, Spring, and Summer track seasons – including the National Junior Olympic Series.
We do not believe in a Win-At-All-Cost coaching philosophy and put an athlete’s well-being and personal development first.
