Our Mission

Blue Lightning Track Club is a competitive, performance-based training program.

We develop youth, middle school, and high school athletes for:

• High-level competition
• Structured development
• Collegiate opportunities

To date, 11 athletes have earned college track scholarships.

We train with discipline.
We develop with purpose.
We compete with pride.

Who Our Program Is Designed For

Blue Lightning is built for athletes who:

✔ Demonstrate coachability and discipline
✔ Participate in organized sports
✔ Show competitive drive and resilience
✔ Are ready for structured, performance-focused training

We welcome multi-sport athletes from:

Football • Soccer • Lacrosse • Swimming
Baseball • Softball • Rugby
Gymnastics • Cheer • Dance
And other competitive sports

Multi-sport athletes transition exceptionally well into track.

Who Our Program Is NOT Designed For

Blue Lightning is not:

✖ A recreational “try it and see” program
✖ A general fitness program
✖ A weight-loss program
✖ An introductory sports clinic

While improved fitness may occur, our focus is competitive performance.

Families seeking weight management or general fitness support should pursue programs specifically designed for those goals.


🟦 PAGE 5 — MINIMUM READINESS EXPECTATIONS

Minimum Readiness Expectations

Before registering for a Test-Drive, athletes should be able to:

• Jog two laps without stopping
• Follow multi-step instructions
• Demonstrate basic coordination
• Perform basic bodyweight movements
• Maintain focus and coachability

These standards ensure athletes are positioned for success in a competitive training environment.


🟦 PAGE 6 — ATHLETES 10 & UNDER

Athletes 10 & Under

Participation requires:

• Ability to follow structured coaching
• Basic coordination and body control
• Age-appropriate endurance
• Emotional readiness for disciplined instruction

Young athletes new to organized sports may benefit from:

• Recreational leagues
• YMCA programs
• Community athletics
• General athletic development classes

Our goal is preparation — not exclusion.

What If My Athlete Has Potential But Needs Conditioning?

We offer a structured:

7-Week Off-Season Conditioning Program
September 5 – October 24

This program builds:

• Foundational strength
• Endurance
• Discipline
• Athletic readiness

We believe in development pathways — not just participation.


🟦 PAGE 8 — THE TEST-DRIVE

The Purpose of the Test-Drive Tryout

The Test-Drive is an evaluation session to identify athletes who:

✔ Demonstrate competitive potential
✔ Show coachability and discipline
✔ Exhibit mental toughness
✔ Are serious about structured development

Test-Drive Fee: $35
$25 credited toward membership upon acceptance.

These sessions require dedicated coaching time.
Please register only if your athlete is serious about competitive track.

Weather Policy

• Decisions made 60–90 minutes prior to practice
• Updates sent via email and SMS
• Rescheduling instructions provided if needed

Safety first. Structure always.


🟦 PAGE 10 — FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this program beginner-friendly?
No. This is a competitive performance program.

Is this a weight-loss program?
No. Our focus is athletic development.

What if my athlete is not invited to join?
We may recommend additional conditioning and re-evaluation in 3–6 months.
